Seed of beauty

Deep in every girls heart God planted a seed of beauty

With every beat of your heart your life interprets this beauty

And as you grow into a woman

Your seed grows into a forest of mysterious wonders.

Blind beauties that you cannot see yourself

Beauty is not meant for the eyes beauty is felt

Beauty is experienced

Feel it...

Beauty is an imprint that cannot be removed

No matter how hard life tries to steel it from you

What ever has broken off, of you

Is removed to make you shine like a diamond sculpted by

Scared beauties even though the tiger of insecurity clawed in to your heart

Insecure beauties that look in to lying manipulating mirrors

That tell you, you are too big too small, fat, thin, short, tall.

Do not be deceived, beauties find a true mirror

For me this poem, illistrates the life cycle of a butterfly, starts off as cacoon (seed) ; over time  this cacoon or sed needs nurturing, protection and a few storms to add a bit of character for what is going to come out at the end- when you truly find your true beauty and become that butterfly that has the most graceful presence and a unique beauty that displays the works of God

Just have a look at nature and even the human body, notice every single detail and then you will realise how real and awesome God is and that is the same God that made you... 

What is Beauty??

                                               

Today we have been lead to believe that beauty only lies on the outside. And by that I mean a pale-faced, "bag of bones." With a crippled soul.

WOW..... that is beautiful!


The concept of beauty has really been distorted in society.

Notice miserable the girls on the left are, and their lifeless eyes.

If you look at the girls on the right, notice the sparkle in their eyes and the different curves in their body that make them unique!

The girls on the left are missing out on life as they are constantly preoccupied with how they look- life passes them by...

Girls believe me, it's dangerous to fall victim to what society expects us to be...

I know this because it happened to me......

I was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa at the age of 14.

Anorexia is an eating disorder whereby the person reefuses to eat or maintain a body weight. There is also an intense fear of gaining weight. The image of themselves is distorted, this means that others would see them as thin where they would see themselves the exact opposite. FAT!!

I'm sure some of you will be able to relate with me here. Those who have had bulemia will also understand. It's a constant battle of the mind and I FOUGHT for many years. But there is no way you can get through it alone because in the beginning there is denial- doesn't believe they have the disorder.

In the beginning, I was extremely stubborn.. I refused to eat, no matter how hard anyone tried to persuade me. I was convinced I was still fat..

But girls there is hope, I PROMISE THIS!!! But you have to fight and allow people who care about you to help you.

For those of you out there that are suffering. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't suffer alone..

God sent people to help me.. My mom and Dad were amazing and my sister with great difficulty, managed to still accept me.

I also got help at a rehab. Extremely good- Riverview, Underberg, KwaZulu Natal.

My life was grey and worthless at that time but now there is clour but it doesn't just happen, its a choice  you have to make. You can't wish your life away so I say: If your going to life you may as well make the most of it!!

There is so much to be thankful for in life. Nobody is perfect not even in the magazines or the television- most of it is edited. IT'S FAKE!

We are all beautiful...
